United Way 2010 Spirit of United Way Award Recipients

Chip & Jane Kraus

Volunteering is a family affair for this community-minded couple. On any given day, Chip and Jane can be found lending a helping hand somewhere in Gloucester County. In addition to conducting a successful United Way employee campaign at Life Care Medical Centers, they also serve as Allocations volunteers and members of the Event Committee. Chip serves on the United Way Board of Directors and Jane is active in the United Way's Women's Leadership Council. Their dedication to our neighbors in need and their tradition of volunteering exemplifies the Spirit of United Way.

Chrissy Skala

Chrissy knows the true meaning of "Live United." In a single year, she devoted over 357 volunteer hours to helping those in need in our community. As NuStar Volunteer Council Liaison for the NuStar Energy Paulsboro Refinery, Chrissy has volunteered for numerous projects including charity golf outings, Operation Backpack, Operation Call Home, the Paulsboro High School Mentoring Program, and the Gloucester County Cares About Hunger Food Drive. She also serves as volunteer treasurer for Repauno Pre-School. We are grateful for her volunteer spirit, boundless energy and ongoing commitment to United Way and the Gloucester County community.

Nina Sorelle

A valued United Way volunteer for nearly 20 years, Nina has devoted her time and talents as a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Finance & Audit Review Committee. As a CPA and partner with Bowman and Company, Nina's expertise in non-profit finance is a resource frequently called upon by both staff and volunteers to insure the organization's compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements. We are pleased to recognize Nina's volunteer spirit and valuable contribution.
